Hey Mom and Dad!
So this week was pretty awesome! The ward has started an activity every Tuesday night in the summer. We play soccer and volleyball. The teams are the Elders Quorum(the power our the missionaries... our team is in the lead right now) high priests, young men and young women - and relief society! It gets intense. They are all about their soccer here!
We recieved changes and I will be senior companion BUT staying in the same area and with the same comp! I'm going to have 6 months in Los Elizondo! Even better news is that the sister missionaries area got closed so we have our area and there area! So its going to be a tough few weeks and a very busy weeks getting used to the big area. Hopefully we can get bikes!
We have been finding alot of people to teach - ALOT! But alot of them just don't see the importance to change. One of my weaknesses in the mission is I need to accept their agency! Sometimes I just want to force them to church but I can't make anyone go or accept baptism. I get super stressed but its ok- I'm working on being patient!
A less active member that is one of my favorites has a HUGE drinking problem and my whole time here I've been trying to get him to come to church! His workers told us that they are going to help us becuase he can't come to work drunk every single day! Its a sickness! Poor dude! I had divisions with Elder Chuquin from Equador and I learned alot from him. We had a killer day and most of all he helped me with learning to ask inspired questions! With that I can be more effective in contacting and in lessons by asking MORE questions and they will be able to think more and ponder more about the message!
I bought a calculator watch! Its pretty sweet! I've always wanted one! Also I found a St. Jude hosptial tie with all the flags of all the countries. Its pretty ugly but I dig it!
Cant believe in this change I will hit 1 year in the mission! Crazy and I'm excited for the future! Sounds like everything is great at home! Love you so much!!!!
