Hey Mom and Dad!
This week was SUPER HOT! Me and my comp are like zombies in the street pleading for water every house we go to. We're literally in a desert! Like the ones you see in Breaking Bad but the worst part is we are 100 percent walking!
This week was pretty fast as usual! Jesus is just an amazing investigator! He is growing a testimony that will build his life! I keep telling him he is smarter than my companion. I do the same stupid jokes that dad does to mom - haha! Its hilarious! My favorite part about teaching him is that we find ways to use objects in lessons or activities. Its super cool to watch him particapate and learn. His baptism is this week. I'm pretty excited and I will send you pics of it!

We were walking and we saw a dude just alone so we went up and started talking about whats going on with the News and the weather! It turns out he has diabetes and he can't work and he is alone all day without anyone to talk to. He was so grateful that we would come and talk with him that he started crying. He was telling us about how difficult his situation is. We sang a hymn and taught about the atonement of Christ (my favorite) and the spirit guided the lesson pretty well! After we left he said, "Wow... now I have 2 friends!" It broke my heart. I love serving people!
Yesterday after the food appointment we were sitting at this corner for like 8 min thinking and talking on the phone. A car stopped and said, "Hey Elders- " He asked if we could give a blessing to his mom that has a problem with her kidney! We accepted and hopped in the car to head to his house. During the drive he told us that they have been less active for awhile now but while he was at the store yesterday he was wondering and praying to God about what to do. He immmediatly received a thought of "Elders" but he didnt knw where he could find them. While he was on his way home, there we were sitting on the corner like fools wondering which plan should we do. But God had a plan for us to go to this family! We taught them about faith and the Atonement of Christ! The spirit was so strong and she asked ME to do the blessing! I was so not ready for that but I prayed for guidence to have the gift of tongues. It was like a miracle. The words just flew out of my mouth like it was nothing. I wasn't battling for words I was just being guided on what I needed to say. At the end, the son was just so emotional and man that was a great experience!
Thanks for the letters. I love them! You are the best parents ever and I miss you more than I can say. Congrats Tanner Simpson! PERU & Espanol!! Good luck! OH and also, interesting thing that happened - I met one of the 3 NEPHITES... or a drunk mexican that said he has lived for over 1000 years! I was like CRAP- I don't have my camera so I can have a pic with our fellow friend! Hahaha!!!!
Love you so much!!
Peace out-
