Mom and Dad,
This week was amazing! I'm in Moctezuma and its right next to San Bernabe. I love it because I'm back in the "ghetto" and it reminds me alot of my past areas where I've had alot of success. We have alot of investigators that can be baptized this change so I' m excited for that. The members are great! I found out that the missionaries are in the ward choir! hahahaha!! Oh Noooo! We have to sing in ward conference and honestly we are horrible. I'm going to have to fight to keep a straight face when I'm up there.
The zone looks great! We have lots of potential and President has told me and my comp that we can be the "zone of the change". He has confidence in us and that we need to be an example to the other missionaries with love for the other missionaries and by obedience! I believe that we can gain their confidence by making a few small changes that me and my comp have planned to do. The smallest good things lead to huge blessings -- and small bad choices lead to BIG mistakes. We need to be wise and thoughtful with our actions. We need to think, "Will I be closer to the Savior if I do this or no?" IF we fall... use our agency and follow the DANG commandments and REPENT. He will forgive us as long as we repent with a sincere heart! I was reading Following Christ the other day and it has a great part in it that I would like to share. It talked about entering in the covenant of baptism is like setting the hook on a fish. Since we now have the fish we need to diligently work to bring the fish to us. We need to endure to the end. If we keep enduring to the end God will not let us go away- he will reel us back to him. But if we choose not to endure and cut the line God can't help us.
Something funny... My companion stole the photo of Bailley and Olivia from my photo album and put it on his desk. He is praying about which one he will choose HAHAHA!! (Bailley and Olivia are Carson's cute twin cousins!)
