I have been wondering my whole mission why every person I come in contact with is so desirous to talk to me and keep saying that I am a spiritual giant! Everyone wants to talk to me - even the people on the street and I don’t know what they are saying. It is making me CRAZY because I can’t communicate with them. Everyone tells me that I have some spirit thats so strong and I’m like - Really?? I do? I don’t feel any different! haha! I keep asking myself why in the world is Carson Ray Anderson so special.... a small kid from Brigham City that can’t speak the language or understand anything. I’m still trying to figure it out but I need to have more confidence in this gift that Heavenly Father has given me.
How did Mitchell do?? What did he talk about? How is Tori having to leave Tarzan for two years? haha - I’m excited to have Burgan and Trevor go to our house to have dad teach them some Spanish. Best teacher in the world right there. I am having a blast just talking to people and meeting knew people!
I had my first sacrament meeting all in Spanish and was cool! It was testimony meeting and everyone was getting up! We did not need Sister Olsen getting up and saying “WE ALL NEED TO BE RUNNING UP HERE” because thats exactly what they do and its incredible! Sacrament meeting was an hour and a half because so many people want to bear there testimony!
We have this investigator from Monterrey his name is Mauricio. We actually saw him on the side of the street drunk and we asked if he wanted to stop drinking. He said yes! (This was my first day) Now he has stopped drinking and he is taking all the lessons from us! And again, for some reason, he says, “Elder Anderson I am glad you are here. Even though you don’t speak much, you are my friend! I do the "Sydney Gracias" all the time! haha

I see fights here all the time! Its so sick because alot of times you see them pull out knives and your like, “OH MAN ITS ABOUT TO GO DOWN!” ITS SO SICK!
I had the opportunity to tour the 3rd biggest stadium in the world! Its where the Mexican national team plays. It was way cool! And guess what - THE DALLAS COWBOYS PLAYED THERE WHEN EMMITT SMITH WAS IN THE BACKFIELD! So cool! It made my day!!

I don’t know when or how long I am here in this mission but I want to get to Monterrey also... BUT the people and my Mission President are so nice! Its gonna be tough to leave! Please continue to pray for me that the language will come!
