Hey everyone!
This transfer is flying by! I will be planning for week 5 coming tomorrow which is insane! Valentines day was good. Some chick gave me a seed and told me to plant it in my heart - so that was exciting. HAHA!!
This past week I went on an exchange with my Zone Leader Elder Webb. He is from Salt Lake. We found some super cool people. We met a guy named Jose - He likes to speak English more than Spanish which is nice. He said he really wants to start going to church again so we will help him do that.
Our investigator Alfonso didn’t come to church this week. He said he doesn’t have the desire to go to church. But we told him he will have the desire if he reads the Book of Mormon everyday with real intent and prays about it. He has been doing that everyday so far and we will see him today to invite him again. He has a baptismal date for March 5th and I hope this happens.
We have changed our approach in contacting this past week. Our mind set is to teach them no matter what and not to accept to come back another day. People just tell us to come back so we will leave. So when we contact we ask if they have just 5 minutes to listen to our message. We have been getting into houses more and more and sitting with their families. We usually go more than 5 minutes but the people usually say that they didn’t mind us going over time and say we can come back! I think being persistent in sitting down with them and teaching them about the restoration is key, because you are in their home and the spirit will be there. It has gotten me more excited about contacting because we are teaching more people this way and getting more return dates.
Well I love you all - PEACE OUT!
