This week we found alot of people. Lots of new investogators to work with!
Three of the investigators we found only speak english so its kinda nice to teach in english and they are awesome.
Kevin is 21 years old and just moved from Philadelphia 3 weeks ago. He only speaks english and he is really chill. My comp doesnt speak english so I teach the whole time. He really likes how there is evidence for him to find out for himself if its true and not just relying on our own testimonies and that evidence is the Book of Mormon. We gave him 3rd Nephi 11 to read and he accepted a baptismal date for the 4th of June. We will go back and see how he is doing tomorrow.
The other couple that speaks English is Kurt and Maria. They also just got here about 3 weeks ago. They are from New York. Kurt has been really stressing about the move and the language. His wife is Puerto Rican and speaks basic spanish. I loved talking to them because they have so many questions. Kurt thought it was so cool that our mission calls are assigned to us by revelation and he believes that I was sent to Puerto Rico to find him. That was cool, he was understanding the whole thing! We go see them tomorrow and they are excited. They even said they would make lots of coffee for me when I come - haha!! We will see what they say tomorrow.
I went on an exchange to Salinas. I was with Elder Morales, the one I was living with for like 4 1/2 months in Guayanilla. Salinas is known for being the hottest part in the island. That day was insanely hot! These two men were working on the roof of their house and invited us to climb the ladder and teach them up there! It was pretty insane - they say they believe in the Bible but they don't agree with the scriptures that are in the Bible. They said they didn't believe how Joseph Smith could have been a Prophet. They told us to keep preaching to the people but leave out the Joseph Smith part. My mind literally wanted to explode! I don't get how people think that God can't call another Prophet. They are putting limits on God and saying what he can and can't do. Amos 3:7 clearly states that The Lord will do nothing except he reveals his word to his servants, the PROPHETS...and God is the same yesterday...today and forever!
Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and I know this is true. I want to work hard to make Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ proud. I want to make Joseph Smith proud too!
Well - I love you all! Peace out!
