Mom and Dad,
This week was a good one. We have a lot of investigators that can be baptized this change. Mario is a recent convert and the rest of his family are not members but they listen to us and love it when we are there. They always give us food which is nice! On Thursday night we taught the plan of salvation to this family. I have never felt the spirit more in an entire lesson in my whole mission. My comp and I felt that each word was coming straight from the spirit. On Saturday we get a call from the family and they said that they have had dreams of their family members that have passed away wanting a baptism. We then went and talked about baptisms for the dead and how important it is. The Lord is working with this family. But Satan is working also and there is always opposition. Please pray for this family to be able to recognize the importance to accept this gospel.
On Saturday we went to a members house to bring him to a lesson we had prepared. There was a small intersection because he lives on the corner of the street. We were about to get in a car then suddenly two vans going super fast one way and the other both ran into each other super hard. My comp and I were the first people there and trying to help the people that were in the car. It was crazy. The woman ran the stop sign, not using a seatbelt going super fast and she was on the floor of her car when we found her. My comp and I asked why are you not using your seatbelt? She replied... "I was hungry.." What? The other car was a man driving. He also did not use his seatbelt, BUT he was drunk driving. He had the right of way though but he grabbed his beer and threw it into another car to hide the evidence and was eating so many limes with salt to take away his bad breath. I was dying laughing. I talked with him and asked him if the limes tasted good. He didn't think it was funny. But we helped them and we said a prayer and waited until the ambulance came. It was pretty dope! What's awful is that they both don't have insurance and both are going to have huge tickets!
It looks fun where you guys are at camping. I can't wait to go camping. Just to be in the mountains again is my dream! Have fun! I love you guys!
