This week we saw a lot of cool things. First I went on divisions with Elder Guinn my Zone Leader. He is from San Diego, California and I tell you what - we are the EXACT same person! He kept saying if only we knew each other when we lived there. He now knows that I lived on Coronado Island and he was blown away and keeps telling everyone that I lived 30 seconds away from the beach. So everyone in the mission calls me Ricky Ricon or Elder Coronado. HAHA!!
I was feeling pretty bad because sometimes I feel like I can't tell the difference between the spirit and my own thoughts. So I sincerely prayed and I felt like I was being guided everywhere. Every contact that I made was spiritual and we found a lot of people that can progress! I learned today that WE can't do anything without asking the Lord first. Prayer is so powerful and its not a surprise that my favorite hymn is "Did you think to Pray".
One day we were running in the rain and we went into a house of a lady that is a police officer and her husband was in Juarez. She said that her husband came back yesterday with a Book of Mormon. I said "THAT IS OUR BOOK"! She was so surprised and loved our message about it! I don't think there are coincidences. We came at the exact time that she needed to hear this gospel. Pretty cool!
It sounds like you had a great week. I miss you and hope you guys are doing well. Tell me about the NBA playoffs. And also, when you send me a package you need to send mints instead of gum - because it is against the rules to chew gum. I can't believe Mckay and Cody are almost out for a year. It's almost Father's day dad! I love you so much and miss you. I can't wait to get the dynamic duo back together.
