Hey AMIGOS - What’s up from Guayanilla...
Guayanilla is my new area and so far it is super cool here. In the center of every city there is something called a plaza and it is just the heart of the city and everyone hangs out there. It is pretty cool. My new house has AIR CONDITIONING! It is super nice and I can’t believe I’m saying this but it can get kinda cold!! haha
My companion is Elder Merrell and he is from California.

A nice surprise is the ward here feeds us a lot. YESSSS! Now - if only they could use that energy into helping the missionary work that would be awesome!
My Spanish is getting there pretty good. I can understand the main point and I can speak good enough to have a conversation - so that is some good progress.
We are teaching a mom and a son who are not active. The son has been struggling with drugs for a long time. Since he has been talking with the missionaries he is doing everything he can to stop using. He has been clean for a whole week and he is looking better and better. The strength we receive from the gospel can really help you overcome anything. He can see the light and I hope he keeps progressing. It’s amazing how the love of our Savior can give us so much strength - that is strong enough to overcome such an horrible addiction.
I’ve only been here a few days so I’m excited to meet more people and have more experiences teaching people.
Love you all SO MUCH!!
