I had alot of great times with my LAST week with my companion and trainer, Elder Aguilar. It has been an amazing time with him and he was there for me and supporting me everyday. Looking back at our times... it was great, rough, spiritual, and I’ve also seen things that I will never forget! However, we did not baptize BUT we changed the lives of a lot of families by helping them obtain more faith in Christ and actually seeing people change their lives by this gospel was just as good as baptisms. I am very proud of my work in that area. It is tough to leave.
We had changes and I’m in HACIENDA MITRAS! This area is so rich and is one of the richest parts in Latin America! So far the members are pretty cool and we have 350 members in our ward! THAT’S NUTS! I have an American companion and its nice to talk in English! It takes the stress away a little. He is from Lehi, Utah and his name is Elder Rodabough.
We ate with the familia Balboa on Sunday - All I could think of was Rocky Balboa and Sylvester Stallone. I kept saying.... YO ADRIAN.... dame las tortilllas por favor! C’mon Paulie! They loved it! I bore my testimony about the atonement and I don’t remember what I said at all. All I remember is coming back to my senses and everyone was crying. I don’t know if it was the spirit or they were just sad that I can’t speak the language….but I do know the spirit guides me in lessons! I have felt it too many times. It was a great experience!
I love you guys a lot and I hope you’re doing great! Keep the prayers coming!
