This week was pretty good. We taught a lot of lessons and have a few progressing investigators. We have 3 people with baptismal dates but those can change super fast so I’m not gonna get my hopes up but I’m sure gonna pray hard about it.
We taught this guy named Carlos last night. He is a Catholic Minister. He is super cool and believes that the Book of Mormon is true. He says he wants to be baptized in the future but he feels like if he stops ministering to his people they are going to be lost. We are gonna try and see if we can start teaching the people in his ministry.
We got a reference from a member. Their names are Juan and Fabiana and they just barely moved in. We didn’t know where their house was but knew it was in this huge Urbanization. We prayed to ask for assistance to find Juan and Fabiana. The the first person we see outside we went and talked to him. He said his name was Juan! At first I thought..”Oh, every Latino's name is Juan".. so I didn’t think much of it. But then he said that they just moved in recently!! haha This guys name is Juan and they just recently moved in!! Its matching up pretty good with our reference. So I asked him if his wife’s name was Fabiana and he said yes! HOW COOL IS THAT? He invited us in and then we ended up painting his whole house so that was sweet.
OH - and this past week I was in a police station for 3 hours. We got pulled over and he didn’t have his license so cops were going insane. We thought if we acted like we didn’t know Spanish we could get out if it - but no - took us in. They wouldn’t let us leave because I guess we need Puerto Rican licenses to drive here. President Boucher convinced them to let us go so its all good. I did ask the cop if he would handcuff me because I wanted a picture - but he wouldn’t do it. I thought it would be a funny Christmas card for you!
This Mission is the coolest thing. I am in an awesome area with awesome people and its super fun! Here are a bunch of pictures - a couple are of me leaving Juncos. All of the ones with water are in Guayanilla.
I love you so much and have an awesome THANKSGIVING!
