This week was really cool and disappointing but that is what every week is like in the mission field. Haha!
We had Zone Meeting and it was really cool to see lots of people I know. We have a cool Zone. Elder Fox and Elder Buskirk are the Zone leaders. Elder Fox goes home in 3 weeks. He lived with me when I started in Juncos. He's a really cool guy and we get along great! Sister Boucher made some BOMB cookies for us too!
So we have recieved a couple of references from the states and they live in Maunabo, PR. One Lady named Y. and her husband visited Park City and decided to go see the Salt Lake Temple and the MoTab Choir. They met two of the Sister missionaries in Temple Square and they both felt so happy in front of the Temple. We got their information and we had a super cool lesson. I love explaining the Restoration with Scriptures. It really helps them understand more and it shows that its not our own belief - its coming right from the scriptures.
The other reference we received is named R.P. Her Sister got baptized last month and she wanted us to pass by her sister's house. Rosa is super Pentecostal! We explained the Restoration very simple with lots of examples to help her understand. I love how the lesson went because she could see the very important characteristics that are needed in the true church that aren't found in The Pentecostal Church. That made her curious to learn more about where The Church of Jesus Christ is. I'm very excited for her.
Now with Mayra. We don't know whats going on. When we met with her she was explaining to us all the answers she believed she recieved from God. She even was doubting a bit of Joseph Smith but then the next night had a dream of Joseph Smith and wanted answers to get baptized into the true Church were given right in front of her. But she still says she doesn't know. She then told us that she would rather go to a Church thats more Up-Beat and loud music like the Pentecostal Church. We explained to her about reverance in Church and how it was supposed to be a place where we can feel the spirit. We passed by to help her come to church yesterday but then told us she wants to go to her church today instead. My mind is just blown with the Answers she has recieved and its still not sufficient for her. We respect her agency I guess. We will visit her again tomorrow.
Ok well Love you all. Write me and let me know whats new!
