Hola Padres!
This week was just super super fast and alot of contacting and meeting new people!
First off I want to share a story that will help alot of people also! One day Me and my companion were walking and we saw an old man that was about 65 years old. He was weeding his grass (grass is not a normal sight here in Mexico) - so we asked him if we can help him. He said no but he was super pleased with us and super happy for our willingness to serve. We left and the next week we went to see how he was. I guess the man has been telling everyone about us! EVERYONE! How these young boys are not just serving by speaking - they are an example to WORK and ACT in a manner that the Savior would! He said he felt the spirit pretty strong and he said we will always be in his heart for our service!
I was really shocked. Just by one act of kindness or just a small word can change someone's life! I was listening to the talk of Thomas S Monson ( Find joy in the Journey) and it struck me when he said:
"Give your child a hug; give your parents a hug; say "I love you" more; always express your thanks. Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved. Friends move away, children grow up, loved ones pass on. It's so easy to take others for granted until that day when they are gone from our lives and we are left with feelings of "what if" and "if only". Harriet Beecher Stowe said, "The bitterest tears shed over graves are for words left unsaid and deeds left undone."
I don't know what is going to happen with this dude but I know that forever he will thank us for our small act of kindness that we could bring to him for just a few moments!
This week is the last week then we have changes! I can't believe it!! Its been flying by so fast! I hope you have a great week - and congrats to Dr. Dre (my new cousin) we will be freestylin' in no time!
