Mom and Dad,
This week was great! A lot of things happened and there have been many changes in the mission. Instead of the investigators needing 5 times in church to be baptized it went down to only need 3 so that is going to be alot easier! I'm so proud of Jose Angel, yesterday he received the Aaronic Priesthood and recieved his temple recommend. Today he went to do baptisms for the dead in the temple. (The temple was open today on a Monday for a special occasion). Its so great to see him want to serve and keep busy in the church!
Cristian is progressing really well. This Sunday he felt bad that he didn't have a white shirt, pants or a tie and shoes, so my companion and I gave him some of our clothes. He accepted baptism and will be baptized on the 13th of May and be confirmed on the 14th! His family sees a huge change in him and is so happy. They even said that they will come to his baptism. He said he wanted to be baptized on the 13th so he can go to the temple on the 20th! Pretty cool!
Last night I went to a choir for the institute for the whole stake. It was big and we brought investigators to it. Funny thing was that I sat right next to the Missions President's wife of the Monterrey East mission! We talked for awhile and she asked me a question. It was... "With the time you have Elder Anderson, what was the thing you most learned in your mission?" I reflected and without a doubt I have learned to trust the Savior in times of difficulty. Before the mission I believed in a Savior for the world. Now I know that there is a personal Savior that saves us from our weaknesses and trials who is Jesus Christ! Also I continued to say the strong testimony I have of the Book of Mormon and with that testimony, I know the rest of the gospel is true. It was a great experience!
Today I went to an Air Force exposition. It was cool to see the helicopters and tanks and different museums of the Mexican army, Marines and Navy. I talked with alot of them and they gave me details about the satellite phones they have and the equipment they use. Some were really nice but there were some there that I could tell were not happy I was there because I was American. All in all it was a great exposition and I would totally go again! I have sweet photos that I'll send you!
Can't believe I have less than 100 days! That is going by too quick! GO JAZZ! I can't believe we pulled it off! Now against Golden State we are going to need a miracle!
Well.... I love you guys! I can't wait to talk to you on Mothers Day! Tell Jovi I miss her!!!
