This week has been a crazy one. My companion was moved to District Leader because our old district leader wrecked a car when he wasn't supposed to be driving. So that means I get to go on a lot of companion exchanges with other missionaries and Zone Leaders and that has been great.
Last Tuesday I went to a steak house with the Elders in my house and the Zone Leaders. Hermano Flores in my ward took us. It was super cool to have a STEAK for the first time in 4 MONTHS!
A member in our ward has been working with their family friends and they seem super interested. They came to church yesterday as a family and we are going to a family home evening tonight with them. YES!
The gospel of Jesus Christ is really simple when you look at it. He has created the path for us. It is our choice to act and to follow the path by keeping the commandments and serving others like Christ. Once you do that you find a love for it and it ends up looking more like a "Fun Bucket List" than a "Rule Book" as some would see it as. This is a Missionary Church and it always will be. Christ served — and we need to follow his example and serve. When you are baptized in the church you are also accepting to serve others.
Today we went to El Yunque. It is a SWEET national forest..you should look it up! We also just had a crazy rain storm today and it flooded the roads. We were coming back from El Yunque and we couldn’t get into our house for a little bit. I want to see a good storm but haven’t really seen one yet. Only 2 weeks until I am done with my training - the Spanish is still a struggle but I do feel improvement.
Love you so much and miss you lots!
